Our jiu jitsu program focuses on building body awareness and building a foundation for jiu jitsu by drilling the fundamental movements underlying most jiu jitsu moves. This includes a light tumbling warm-up where students develop muscle memory for moves such as the technical stand, break fall, gracie roll, the shrimp, and many others. The majority of class is spent drilling the technique. Students are encouraged, but not required, to participate in a light roll at the end of class to provide them an opportunity to try and implement their new technique.
All skill levels and degrees of athleticism are welcome!
